Trompe-l’oeil Pickleware

I’ve always been a big fan of pickles. Dill, half sours, bread & butter: I’m in. One day, as I was trying to decide what to make a mold of next in my slipcasting class at District Clay Center, I opened my fridge and the answer was right in front of me. I started with tiny cornichons before venturing into big ol’ kosher dills. From earrings to ornaments to “picklephernalia”, each of these edible snacks became inedible functional pieces of art. Just like the variety of pickles, there’s something here for everyones taste!

Super proud that my ‘Picklephernalia’ Pickle Pipes were awarded Best in Show at the District Clay Center gallery show, Smokin’ Pots (2022).
