Conception + Construction of Box Kits for Promotion of New Menu Items

Every second of this project for Nando’s PERi-PERi made me feel creatively fulfilled, despite the long hours (and lots of physical labor) it involved. These were 35 individually spray painted and engraved wooden boxes for a kit sent out to selected influencers and food bloggers to promote their new line of salads and bowls. They contained ingredients from each of the items (think: roasted chick peas, peri-peri nuts, etc.). The hardware was aged with gun bluing, which turned out to be a painstaking process that I could not have gotten through without the NOBODY team. The finished product was 360-degrees of art featuring Nando’s iconography with African-Portuguese inspired patterns.

Here’s a montage of the process behind all of this. Featured is me and my patient NOBODY box assembly helpers, Andrea and Dylan.

Salad and bowl photography used on the print assets was by Greg Powers, with food stylist Nicola Davis, and me as AD. More of that project via the link below!
