I periodically take photos of gelato. (GET IT?!)
My client, Dolcezza Gelato, is a DC-based company with multiple cafes in the area. They also sell their pints nationwide in stores such as Whole Foods. I love that they use locally sourced ingredients for all of their products. In addition to design, I also get to photograph their seasonal and limited edition flavors. Below are a few of my favorite collections! These are styled, photographed, and edited by me. They’re used on social platforms as well as various online sales platforms.
Creating this gif with the blinking lights was as simple as having my partner plug and unplug the string of lights for me while I snapped two photos! The end result is really fun and effective.
This next collection has a lot of great takes on classic Thanksgiving ingredients. I'm provided with the gelato as well as the ingredients used, and I put it all together to make a great shot. As a perk of the job, I got to bring these flavors to dinner with my family. Obviously, they were a huge hit!
Cherry Blossom season is a magical time here in the DC area. You’re excited to be done with winter, the birds are singing, it’s brighter in the evenings, and there are beautiful fluffy pink trees everywhere! How could it get better than that?! Well, it actually CAN get even better when you’re eating this DELICIOUS flavor: Sour Cherry Cheesecake! I totally dig the illustration on the pint by DC artist Kelly Towles.
So, pick yourself up a few pints at nearest grocery store, via Goldbelly, or one of their DC-area cafes! And of course, stay tuned for more photography from yours truly.
